Prospectus

Eligibility: Open to all artists, original work only: no copies, prints, crafts, giclée copies of paintings, or class/workshop pieces. The Guild will be accepting painting (including mixed media, collages), sculpture (including wood, glass, ceramic) and photographyNo artwork previously shown at the Guild will be accepted.

Entry Procedure: All work must be hand delivered (no mail-in work). Two-dimensional work must not exceed 48" on any side. Work must be dry, suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging, no alligator clips. Plexiglass is required for all works over 20" x 28". Wraparound canvas must be painted on all sides, without staples. Non-conforming work will be rejected at the discretion of the receiving committee. All work must be for sale and remain until the show ends. All works must be titled and have a selling price. The Guild receives a 33 1/3% commission on all sales. Limit of three entries per artist, but a maximum of two works will be accepted. Submittal does not guarantee entry into the show. If you provide your e-mail address on your Pre-Registration Form (see below) and have not received an acknowledgement e-mail by September 17, contact the Guild at 732-741-1441.

Fee: Members- $15 for one entry; $25 for two entries; $35 for three entries.
Non-members- $25 for one entry; $35 for two entries; $45 for three entries.
Entry fee is non-refundable.

Insurance: Artists are encouraged  to provide insurance at their own discretion. 

Delivery of Pre-Registered Art: In person to the Guild, one day only. Wednesday, September 28, noon - 7 P.M.

Acceptance: Notification of work accepted for the show will be made by e-mail. If you do not have e-mail, you may call the Guild after 2 P.M. on Thursday, September 29. The phone number is 732-741-1441. Accepted works may be used for publicity.

Judge: Mary Birmingham - Curator at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. Click HERE for more information about our judge.

Reception: Sunday, October 2,  3 - 5 P.M. Awards will be announced and presented at 4 P.M.

Awards: Best in Category (Painting, Sculpture, Photography) $300 each category; Honorable Mention medals; Mitchell Award for Acrylic - $100; Friedlander Award for Abstract -$50; Guild Award for Artistic Innovation - $100.

Pick-Up Declines: Friday, September 30, noon - 4 P.M.

End of Show Pick-Up:
Thursday, October 27, noon - 7 P.M. ONLY

Note: There will be a $5.00 per day charge for late pick-up of declines & at end of show. No exceptions.
