The focus of this course is to provide a greater understanding of the pastel medium by exploring diverse color ranges, brands of pastels, papers, and other tools used by pastel artists. The course will emphasize the importance of composition, color, shadows, and light. Students may work from a still life set-up or a photographic reference.
Instructor’s bio: Sangita Phadke currently resides in Colts Neck, New Jersey. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Noyes Museum of Art as well as a juried member of the American Artist’s Professional League and the National Association of Women Artists.
