Raymond Sammak was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He began painting with Massachusetts artist, Sena Egg, when he was eight years old. As a teenager, Raymond studied painting with Kip Neilsen of Pratt Institute and drawing and painting with noted international artist, Henri Seneur. He graduated from Merrimack College in 1976 with a degree in psychology, but continued to paint and exhibit his work throughout his adult life.
His solo and group exhibits have included Creative Genius Gallery, The Salmagundi Club, Community Arts Association, The Guild of Creative Art, and the New York Chapter of the American Artists Professional League. In 2006, Raymond received the Best in Show award at the New Jersey Chapter American Artists Professional League show held at the Guild. Some of his memberships include Allied Artists of America, AAPL, and Guild of Creative Art. Raymond is married, has three children, and lives in Manalapan, New Jersey.
